Construction BIM project contract
Freecon Architects & Engineers Co., Ltd. was awarded a contract for the BIM work for the construction phase of the Chungnam Art Museum on November 5, 2024.
The entire project period is 28 months, and the work will involve supporting various construction issues that arise during the construction phase on-site.
This includes tasks such as BIM data construction, drone photography, 3D SCAN work, and training, so that construction companies can review and reflect errors that may occur on-site before construction, thereby contributing to improving construction quality.
We hope that it will be completed successfully so that BIM data can be utilized to help with maintenance even after completion.

Winner of the design competition
Freecon Architects & Engineers Co., Ltd. was selected in the "Youth Startup Support and Geochang Vitality Complex Center" competition commissioned by Geochang-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do on September 2, 2024. The project was selected after preparing for more than a month and differentiating it with a space plan that utilizes external space and courtyards with a design concept suitable for a small local city.
Although this project is not a BIM order, we will proceed with the project by applying BIM from the planning and design stage to the detailed design stage, and if necessary, we will suggest to the ordering party that it can be actively utilized in the construction stage.

Various project orders to be awarded in 2024
This year, 2024, the 9th year since the full-scale operation of Freecon Architects & Engineers, will be a difficult year due to the war in Ukraine, the war in Israel, and the global economic downturn. Despite this, various projects have been ordered so far in 2024.
We are currently working on public projects including the Incheon New Port bid design, public projects related to digital twins, private projects including the Public Procurement Service project, and BIM design for Saudi Arabia's Aramco plant, which we received orders for in the first half of the year.
In addition, as the economy gradually recovers from the recession, more diverse and numerous project orders are expected.
2024. 05. 01.
New Major Design Firm Wins BIM Detailed Design Order
In addition to existing collaboration partners, Gamsam General Architecture and Heerim General Architecture, we have recently been awarded a project BIM detailed design contract from Hyundai General Design and Tomoon Architecture.
The projects being carried out with the two companies will be conducted in collaboration with overseas designers through BIM360, which is a different approach from the existing method, so expectations are high. In addition to BIM technology, clients are also interested in utilizing AR & VR technology, so we are looking forward to incorporating new technologies.
After confirming the effects of BIM introduction, it will be possible to secure additional project contracts, which will be an opportunity for Freecon Architecture to develop one step further.

BIM detailed design and consulting contract
We are carrying out BIM services for detailed design from the Public Procurement Service and LH Corporation. In addition, we are expanding our BIM-related projects, including consulting services for irregular shapes at the request of architectural design offices, modeling for constructability review of civil engineering works, modeling of water park machine rooms for MEP constructability review, and participation in numerous CMR projects.
It is expected that BIM orders will expand further in the future, and securing more technological capabilities will become urgent in line with this trend.

BIM basic design and detailed design order
We are proceeding with the BIM service for the basic design stage of a Public Procurement Service-commissioned project. After the basic design is confirmed for the Health Insurance Review & Assessment Service Uijeongbu Branch project, BIM work will be performed to conduct design reviews, etc. at the basic design stage.
We have decided to proceed with a BIM detailed design project using the cloud method with Gansam Comprehensive Architecture Office. This is the second project we are collaborating on in 2020, and we have been consistently collaborating and carrying out projects every year.
2020. 08. 10.
Received order for detailed design of pure manufacturing facility of Boryeong Thermal Power Plant of Central Power Generation
We will be designing and building a building for the pure water manufacturing facility in the Boryeong Thermal Power Plant of the Central Power Company, which was contracted by Woongjin Coway Entec, a leader in domestic water treatment facilities, and Dong-In Construction.
Although this is not a BIM order, we have decided to proceed with the design using a 3D BIM process after discussing with the ordering party. Other types of work will proceed using the existing 2D method.

Participation in Korea Airports Corporation BIM-based facility maintenance project
Korea Airports Corporation is currently constructing a facility maintenance management system for airport facilities based on BIM, and we are carrying out the work of constructing 3D data and making it available for use.
I am doing my best to carry out the work until December of this year and hope to be connected with additional work in the future.

Cambodia Aeon Shopping Mall BIM Detailed Design Cooperation Partner Selection
The Cambodia Aeon Shopping Center 3, which Hyundai Engineering & Construction Co., Ltd. won a contract for, is currently being designed by Gansam General Construction Co., Ltd., and we have agreed to support the BIM design. The design period is expected to take a total of 8 months, from May to December.
This is an overseas project, and it will be carried out by installing a joint venture to proceed with the BIM process from the basic design stage.
2020. 04. 10.
LH Ordered BIM Service for CMR Project
Since 2020, we have been receiving orders for and are carrying out many BIM-related tasks in CMR (CM-at LISK) projects for public housing, etc. ordered by LH Corporation.
As the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport is promoting BIM, the application of BIM is expanding in projects commissioned by public institutions such as LH Corporation, and more orders are expected in the future.
